The Problem on Your Floor

Every gym has the same three gaps. None of them are training knowledge.

A trainer who can’t fill the schedule isn’t a training problem. It’s a sales-and-marketing skills gap that nobody trained them on. The Academy was built to close exactly that gap — at scale, across a team.

GAP 01

New trainers ramp slowly

Onboarding teaches the systems and the certifications. Nobody teaches them how to run a free consultation, handle an objection, or follow up without sounding desperate. So month one is mostly watching.

GAP 02

Mid-tenure trainers plateau

The ones who didn’t quit in month three still aren’t growing. They’ve got the clients they’re going to get. Without a deliberate marketing and retention skillset, the book stops compounding.

GAP 03

Retention is leakier than it should be

Clients churn not because the training was bad, but because the value was never made visible. Most trainers don’t have a retention practice. They have a hope that clients keep showing up.

Industry average for online courses
10–15%

If the team won’t finish it, it doesn’t matter what’s in it.

Most online training programs lose 85–90% of their enrollees somewhere in the middle. The Academy posts 69–94% completion across organizations. Same trainers. Same time constraints. Different curriculum design — built in ten-minute lessons that work between sessions, with worksheets that build one document instead of dozens.

What Your Team Learns

Thirteen chapters. Three jobs.

Find them. Sign them. Keep them. Every chapter is built around something a trainer can use on the floor the same week — and every chapter ends in a worksheet that builds one document: the FitBiz Success Guide. A one-page marketing plan per trainer that you, as the operator, can actually inspect.

How It Deploys

From licensing call to trainer first-watch in under a week.

Built for volume. Configured for your gym. No platform migration, no installation, no IT lift.

Licensing & seats

Volume licensing priced per seat. Single sites, multi-location operators, and corporate L&D budgets all supported.

Choose your delivery

Host inside your existing LMS (we provide SCORM-ready files), use NASM ClubConnect if you’re already there, or send trainers to our hosted portal with single sign-on.

Roll out to the team

Each trainer gets a seat, completes the chapters in ten-minute windows, builds out their Success Guide as they go, and earns 0.8 NASM/AFAA CEU on completion.

You see the data

Operator dashboard tracks progress, completion, and Success Guide submissions. The plans your trainers build become artifacts you can actually coach against.

The Track Record

196 organizations adopted it. Without a sales call.

The Academy is currently distributed through NASM ClubConnect to trainer staff portals at 80+ American gym brands plus U.S. Air Force, Navy, and Army fitness programs. Zero paid promotion. Zero outbound. The footprint below is what happened organically.

The completion-rate story: 69 to 94% across organizations. The benchmark for online courses is 10 to 15%. That gap is what happens when content is built for the way trainers actually consume it — not how an instructional designer thinks they should.

Operator Questions

The questions every training director asks before signing.

How is this different from what NASM, ACE, or our internal onboarding already covers?
Those programs teach the science of training and the operating procedures of your gym. The Academy is the missing third leg — the business of being a trainer. It’s been delivered as a CEU-credentialed supplement inside NASM ClubConnect for years specifically because it doesn’t overlap with what’s already there.
Can our trainers actually fit this in alongside their schedules?
That’s the design constraint the whole curriculum was built around. Lessons run roughly ten minutes. Worksheets are short and progressive. Trainers complete the Academy in the gaps — between sessions, before opening shift, on a commute. The 69–94% completion rate is the answer to this question.
Does it work for new hires and tenured trainers, or just one?
Both, for different reasons. New hires use it as a fast-track to the business skills they didn’t learn in cert school. Tenured trainers use it to break a plateau — they already know how to train, but the marketing skillset is what’s been limiting their book. Same content. Different problem solved.
How does it deploy if we already have an LMS?
We provide SCORM-ready files. The Academy drops into Talent LMS, Absorb, Cornerstone, Workday Learning, Litmos, or any LMS that accepts SCORM 1.2 or 2004. If you don’t have an LMS or prefer a hosted experience, your trainers can access the Academy via our portal with single sign-on.
What does this cost?
Volume-licensed and priced per seat. Pricing scales with team size and there are tiers for single sites, multi-location operators, and corporate L&D programs. Request licensing info below and we’ll quote your specific situation.
What about CEU credit?
The Academy carries 0.8 NASM and AFAA continuing education credit. Trainers who hold those certifications can apply the credit toward renewal. That’s part of why completion rates run so high — finishing the Academy is also finishing a CEU obligation.
